Belteleradiocompany is summing up preliminary results of the acceptance of applications for the Eurovision 2015 national selection round.
As of 26 November, more than 110 applications have been received from both performers and songwriters, with 100 participants - solo artists and bands - admitted to audition.
However, these figures are not final because parcels postmarked 21 November - the last day for applications - are still arriving.
Based on the existing applications, it is obvious that the right to represent Belarus at the prestigious contest, which will be held in May next year in Vienna, will be competed for by both famous artists and novice performers. Applications have been submitted by the bands Napoli, SWITTER BOYS, Inzhir, Milki and Misters and the performers Tasha Odi, Aura, Alexei Gross, Daria, Gyunesh, Janet, Uzari & Maimuna and Vitaly Voronko.
The audition will be held on 4-5 December at Belteleradiocompany. On 5 December, the professional jury will announce the audition results selecting no more than 15 artists to participate in the final.
A draw for the finalists is scheduled for 7 December.
The national selection final will be held on 26 December as a live television concert. The winner will become the official representative of the Republic of Belarus at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna, Austria.
The national selection round and the preparations for the International Eurovision Song Contest 2015 are organized by Belteleradiocompany as the only member of the European Broadcasting Union in Belarus.
