Hospice is a specialized care center for children with cancer, serious chronic and genetic diseases and congenital abnormalities. The construction of a new children's hospice is necessary in order to provide assistance at a higher level and support as many children and their families as possible. Also, the new hospice will be a major center in the CIS for training professionals in pediatric palliative care.
On 2 June, the country's main media company will launch a charity marathon to raise funds for the construction of a new building of the Belarusian Children's Hospice.

The charity marathon will begin on 2 June at 06:00 with the "Good Morning, Belarus!" programme on Belarus 1 TV channel, featuring representatives of the public charity organization Belarusian Children's Hospice, members of the BCH Advisory board, sponsors, parents whose children need to stay in a hospice or are currently in hospice care.
During the day Belarus 1 will be thematically tied to the ongoing campaign. Information about the marathon will be present in TV News Agency releases, the "Belarusian time" programme, the socio-political talk show "Forum" and the "Topical Interview" project. Besides, live interviews with the sponsors invited to the "Good Morning, Belarus!" programme are expected to be aired from 09:30 till 17:00.
The campaign will also be supported by Belarus 2 TV channel and Belarusian radio channels (1st Channel of Belarusian Radio, Culture Channel, Stolitsa and Radius FM). Thematic programmes to be aired on these channels will feature representatives of the Belarusian Children's Hospice, MPs, prominent public figures and artists, representatives of the Belarusian and foreign business communities, labour groups, non-governmental organizations and volunteers.
Media support for the charity marathon and relevant information regarding the campaign will be provided by Belteleradiocompany's TV and radio channels and the official website www.tvr.by from 29 May till 9 June, 2014 inclusive.
