Finalists of republican contest "Song for Eurovision" defined

On June 17 the professional jury headed by People's Artist of Belarus Eduard Zaritsky determined the finalists of the contest "Song for Eurovision", which is a national qualification round of the International Children's Song Contest "Eurovision-2014".
BTRC received 48 applications. 46 applications were allowed for consideration by the professional jury.
"We have received requests not only from Belarus, but also two applications from Russia, - said the head of the working group of the national qualification round of the junior song contest "Eurovision-2014", the executive producer of the main directorate of the channel "Belarus 1" Lyudmila Borodina. - The jury did not consider these requests because they do not meet the conditions of the Regulation on the national junior contest "Song for Eurovision", which stipulates that participation in the national competition as a performer is allowed to citizens of the Republic of Belarus, as well as foreign citizens and stateless persons permanently residing in the territory of the Republic Belarus (not less than two and a half years)".
14 applicants were invited for the audition by professional jury.

6. Zaitseva Anna (05.10.2000, Minsk)
7. Doroshevich Vladislav (12.04.2004, Minsk)
8. Titova Elena (22.03.2004 Mogilev)
9. Levina Julia (29.07.2003, Brest)
10. Misyakova Nadezhda (01.06.2000, Minsk)
The final of the contest will be held on August 29, 2014 in the form of a gala concert on the TV channel "Belarus 1". The winner of the finals, which will be determined by a vote of the jury and viewers, will represent Belarus at the International Children's Song Contest "Eurovision-2014" on November 15 in Valletta (Malta).
