Grand Opening of European Games on air of media holding channels

On June 21, Belteleradiocompany, the main broadcaster of the continental sports forum, will present to the viewers a live broadcast of the opening ceremony of the II European Games 2019.

The opening ceremony of the competition will be held at the National Olympic Stadium Dinamo in Minsk. More than 22,000 spectators will be able to witness the opening of the II European Games.

More than 2,000 people: artists, technicians, make-up artists, costume designers, set designers and choreographers are involved in the preparation of the show. Athletes from 50 participating countries will enter the stadium field. Mobile screens will create three-dimensional realistic objects and a total of 90 tons of modern high-tech equipment will be used. Virtual objects will become part of the surrounding space. TV viewers will be able to see them as we as the guests of the stadium who have installed a special application on their smartphones.

The main task of the ceremony is to reveal the rich history of Belarus, its folklore, fascinating legends and traditions, to present monuments of architecture, historical figures and contemporaries. Spectators will plunge into the festive atmosphere of the mysterious Kupala Night, get acquainted with the Slavic tribes who became the ancestors of the Belarusian nation, see Euphrosyne of Polotsk, Francysk Skaryna, the Radziwill family, Marc Chagall, Yanka Kupala, Yakub Kolas and many others.

The organizers keep the details of the show secret, however it is known that the best Belarusian artists will take part in the concert program: leading opera and ballet soloists, dance groups, popular performers. Also, opera diva Anna Netrebko and winner of the Slavianski Bazaar 2015 Dimash Kudaibergen will perform in front of the audience.

A touching moment will be the completion of the torch relay Flame of Peace. It will light the modernized bowl at the Dinamo stadium, where the sparks of a sports festival were already burning during the Olympics-80.

A live broadcast of the grand opening of the II European Games 2019 will start at 21:50 on Belarus 1, Belarus 5, Belarus 5. Internet, as well as the website of the media holding tvr.by.
