"Particular attention should be paid to the voting process, the rules of which have changed compared to last year", said Deputy Director of the Belarus 1 TV channel, head of the Eurovision project in Belarus Olga Schlyager. "We have decided to adopt the experience of the EBU broadcasters participating in the Eurovision Song Contest, Malta in particular, where the chosen voting model has successfully established itself within a few years, with consistently high TV viewing ratings and good results in the contest itself. This is exactly the system that helps avoid a technical victory, which was likely to occur in the traditional vote of the jury and the audience. This year, we will not disclose the names of the jury members before the start of a live television broadcast. I can only say that the professional jury consists of culture, art, and television specialists; an international expert has been invited. We hope that these people will make the right choice".

In accordance with the Regulations on holding the national selection for Eurovision 2015, the professional jury consists of 7 members - a chairman and 6 jury members - who cast votes on ballots giving each finalist the following points depending on their preference: 12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. The performances which have not been assessed by the jury within the score range are estimated at 0 points. When counting the votes, the points given by the jury members to each of the finalists are summed up. The overall result is converted into scores and is defined as follows: the first and the second place are worth 12 and 10 scores respectively; the third place is worth 8 scores; all other places are ranked in descending order of scores by one.
Audience voting is carried out by telephone voting and/or text messaging and is provided by the Republican Unitary Enterprise Beltelecom. When counting the votes, all phone calls and/or text messages received from the viewers in respect of each of the finalists are summed up.
Depending on the number of calls and text messages, the results are converted into scores and are defined as follows: the first and the second place are worth 12 and 10 scores respectively; the third place is worth 8 scores; all other places are ranked in descending order of scores by one. The performances which have not been assessed by the viewers within the score range are estimated at 0 points.

The audience voting takes place real time simultaneously with the jury voting. Prior to the announcement of the overall voting results, the jury members do not have access to audience voting information.
The overall voting result for each participant consists of 8 scores, 7 of which are the voting results of each of the 7 jury members; 1 is the audience voting result. The audience voting results are added to the jury voting results for each participant. The finalist with the highest score is declared the winner of the national selection and becomes the official representative of the Republic of Belarus at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015, which will be held in Vienna, Austria.

The national selection for Eurovision 2015 is organized by Belteleradiocompany as the only member of the European Broadcasting Union in Belarus.
