Main Directorate of International Broadcasting of Belarusian Radio (Radio "Belarus") together with the main Directorate of International Relations summed up the results of the quiz "Hospitable Belarus" for foreigners. The main prize from Belteleradiocompany, the opportunity to participate in the XXIII International Art Festival "Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk", was given to the Russian Vasily Gulyaev.
The competition, which took place from March to May, was attended by representatives of Bangladesh, Belgium, UK, Germany, Jordan, Nepal, Nigeria, Poland, Russia, USA, Ukraine and other countries. It should be mentioned that Chinese citizens showed great interest in the quiz. 125 people from different parts of our planet participated in the quiz.
The winners of the intellectual contest are the Russians Alexey Kiyaschenko, student of Belgorod State University, and Vasily Gulyaev, service engineer of medical equipment, as well as a businessman from China Nan Zhou.
The main prize of the quiz "Hospitable Belarus" was given to Vasily Gulyaev. At the invitation of BTRC he can visit all the events of the bright Cultural Forum - XXIII International Art Festival "Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk".
"Our goal was to get people around the world closer acquainted with Belarus, to increase the number of tourists and visitors who come to see the sights of our country. It is also important that such actions allow our radio to find new friends, who later become our most active listeners,"- said the head of the radio "Belarus" Naum Galperovich.
In their turn, the participants of the quiz stressed that the interactive action "Hospitable Belarus" prompted them to learn about the "blue-eyed" country as many interesting facts as possible. The contestants were to answer 25 questions about the history, culture, traditions, polity, territory, population, sights, prominent people of Belarus, as well as the development of sports and tourism.
By the way, none of the contestants will be ignored. Each participant will be given a "Card of the Guest of Republic of Belarus" entitling them to purchase multiple goods and services with a discount. The most active participants will receive prizes.
