Bogdanov: Belarus to develop new system of price regulation by late 2024

4 сентября 2024

A new system of price regulation will be developed in Belarus by the end of the year, said specialized minister Alexei Bogdanov at the international forum “Trade Dialogue” in Minsk.

An expert group is already working on new regulations. The task is to ensure fair pricing in the interests of both the state and the people, while mitigating the current measures for the participants of the trade link.

In parallel, adjustments to Government Resolution No. 713 are also being developed. The system of price regulation, introduced almost 2 years ago, has proved its effectiveness, inflation is in the forecast, but the system requires transformation and development. The next changes will be rather technical in nature.

Alexei Bogdanov, Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of Belarus:

The resolution has achieved the goal set by the President - to ensure price regulation and fulfillment of inflation parameters. The population and business understand it. In general, we see the profitability of manufacturers and trade, that “the fat has been cut,” but the work is going on. The number of unprofitable trade organizations decreased in the first half of the year. The work is going on. According to the results of 6 months we see that the dynamics is good, inflation in annual terms is within the indicators that we have set for the results of this year.

International Forum “Trade Dialogue” is an annual large platform for establishing a dialog between producers, suppliers, and traders.
