The warm February followed by a sunny March has created the right conditions for field works. More than 70 percent of agricultural lands in Belarus have been put under crops. This spring, over 1, 040,000 hectares will be sown with early crops and legumes.
The leader is the Minsk region, with nearly 200,000 hectares sown. Then comes the Gomel region, with 136,000 hectares, followed by the Grodno and Brest regions. The Vitebsk and Mogilev regions are approaching the milestone of 100,000 hectares.
