Minsk and Beijing have announced a new joint project. It is about the creation of the Chinese-Belarusian center for cooperation in the field of geology. Approval of the project is at the final stage. Its practical implementation was discussed in Minsk on July 23.
Deputy Minister of Natural Resources of China is on a working visit to our country. Thus, specialists of the two countries will combine competencies for the development of mineral resource base, extraction of minerals, including hard-to-recover, their further processing and use. Plans to create the center by the end of 2024 on the basis of the Belarusian Research and Production Center for Geology.
Sergei Maslyak, Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of Belarus:
“This is the exchange of experience, the development of new innovative technologies, and the application of new scientific approaches among other things. I would like to note the highest level of bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China. This is probably one of the brightest examples of friendship between the two countries for the entire world community.”
The China-Belarus Center will also coordinate interaction in the field of geology with the countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
