This was reported by deputy commander of the special operations forces Vadim Lukashevich. Servicemen of this elite unit serve at checkpoints, cover the units of missile troops and artillery, are in constant readiness for rapid response, moving to the areas of ambushes to the designated boundaries, if necessary.

Vadim Lukashevich, deputy commander of the special operations forces of the Armed Forces of Belarus:

The situation on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border is characterized by growing tension. A coalition of Western countries has unleashed a hot conflict near our territory. Attempts are being made on their part to drag our country into the war. In these difficult circumstances, our country is doing everything to preserve peace on Belarusian soil. We have information that Ukraine is pulling troops, weapons and military equipment to our borders. In particular, American infantry fighting vehicles, multiple rocket launchers, heavy long-range artillery and other equipment have been deployed in Zhitomir Region.

"In addition, we know that the AFU has deployed surveillance systems of electronic reconnaissance near our borders, widely use unmanned aerial vehicles. Periodically they fly into our territory, violating the border," Lukashevich noted.

Servicemen of the Special Operations Forces of Belarus are qualitatively fulfilling the tasks assigned to them and are ready for any provocations.
