The parties discussed in detail the current state of cooperation between Belarus as a whole and its individual regions and Baria-Vung Tau Province.

Noting the significant unrealized potential of bilateral interaction, primarily in trade, economic and investment spheres, the Belarusian and Vietnamese representatives discussed ways to expand mutually beneficial cooperation in a number of areas.

Thus, the head of the Belarusian consular office emphasized Belarus' readiness to participate in the implementation of infrastructure and industrial projects, including oil production and refining, household and construction waste management, equipping the province with municipal and construction machinery.

Nguyen Van Tho expressed interest in expanding tourist flows from Belarus to the seaside resorts of Baria-Vung Tau.

As one of the next steps on the bilateral agenda, the parties agreed to work on establishing twinning ties between one of the regional centers of Belarus and the city of Vung Tau, the largest in the province of Baria-Vung Tau.

The interlocutors agreed that twinning, being one of the most promising forms of regional cooperation, should be considered as one of the next steps on the bilateral agenda.
