Park of military hardware opens on Immortality Mound in Polotsk

On the eve of the National Unity Day, a park of military vehicles was opened on the Immortality Mound in Polotsk. The permanent exposition includes 17 vehicles which were in service of military units of Polotsk garrison at different times. The memorial on the left bank of the Western Dvina River was built in honor of the defenders who won the victory in the Great Patriotic War. The earth for the mound was brought from memorial sites and mass graves. And today,  the residents of the district center laid a capsule with a message there. The descendants will open it on the day of the centenary of the victory
