Information wars are conducted in order to demoralize and decompose the population. This was stated by Vladimir Pertsov, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration, in the program “Club of editors”.
“Information wars are conducted in order to demoralize and decompose the population. This is part of the usual hot war, an integral part,” Vladimir Pertsov said.
Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration noted that governments, intelligence agencies, corporations and digital giants of Western countries are preparing the ground to influence those Belarusians who trust only one channel of communication, such as the Internet. At the same time, they do not watch or listen to other sources.
“But Western countries also prepare their own population, which is in an information vacuum. Residents of these countries practically do not receive information from Belarus and Russia. They don't know the real situation, they don't know the truth,” added Vladimir Pertsov.
In his opinion, the West, preparing a hot phase, is scanning the space of Belarus. “They scan what people write in the search bar, private messages or messengers, what they read and google. And as soon as they feel that there is no unity, or worse, there is a large number of people who can commit national treason, they will go. They want these collaborators, these traitors.”
