Things for people who lost everything overnight - Belarusian Women's Union sends humanitarian cargo to Kursk Region

More than 20 tons of humanitarian cargo was sent by the Belarusian Women's Union to Kursk region, BELTA writes.

Deputy Director of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center of Oncology and Medical Radiology named after N. N. Alexandrov, a member of the Belarusian Women's Union. Inna Soldatenko, deputy director of the N. N. Alexandrov Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Oncology and Medical Radiology, member of the board of the Belarusian Women's Union, said that the cargo contains things necessary for people who were deprived of everything overnight. “The Belarusian women have always been characterized by a special soulfulness, the ability to compassion and experience. They are always ready to come to the aid of those who especially need it. And so when such a situation occurred on the outer circuit, naturally, the issue of collecting humanitarian aid was initiated,” she noted. The cargo was collected in the shortest possible time - just a little over two weeks.

First necessities, food, dishes, hygiene items, baby food, groceries, blankets, pillows, clothes were sent to Kursk Region. Some of the items were provided by Bellegprom concern. Beltamozhservice volunteered to deliver the humanitarian cargo.

“All the primary organizations, united organizations of the Belarusian Union of Women in a single impulse participated in the collection of humanitarian goods,” stressed Inna Soldatenko.

She added that just a few months ago the Belarusian Women's Union concluded an agreement with Kursk Region on cooperation in humanitarian, social, cultural and educational spheres.
