The economies of the BRICS states were able to break the hegemony of the United States. This opinion was expressed by Bolivian President Luis Arce during a speech at the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), reports BelTA with reference to TASS.

"Today the world order is moving to a more fair and balanced state, based on multipolarity, multilateralism. The BRICS bloc economies were able to break the hegemony of the United States and they are the hope for the development of cooperation and complementarity between countries,” Arce noted.

The Bolivian President also pointed out that Russia's experience is valuable in the formation of a multipolar model of the world economy. “We expect that at SPIEF there will be different discussions on the transition to a new multilateral multipolar model of the world economy, in which, without any doubt, we can learn valuable experience from the Russian economy,” Arce noted.

In addition, according to the Bolivian President, the opportunity to belong to BRICS is a great prospect for the country.

In an interview with RIA Novosti on the margins of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum Arce noted that Bolivia has a good chance to join BRICS in 2024, this issue was raised at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Bolivian president expressed the opinion that the country has a good chance of becoming a BRICS member after Argentina's rejection.
