The North Atlantic alliance has started redeploying forces to its eastern borders. Spain has sent 800 military personnel to Slovakia (this has become the largest deployment of the country's military contingent in the region). Spanish media noted: in this way NATO is "showing Russia its muscles". Earlier, the U.S. sent a batch of American armored vehicles to the NATO base in Poland, and the Finnish parliament approved a defense agreement with Washington, under which the country will give the American side access to 15 military facilities.
Meanwhile, several U.S. military bases in Europe have been placed on alert because of the allegedly increased terrorist threat. This has not happened in the Old World for at least 10 years. The exact reasons for such mobilization of forces are not reported. But it has become known that American pilots in Germany have been banned from wearing uniforms outside of work. The decision is presented as a "precautionary measure".
