The host of the Weather News programme in the Belarusian language.
Svetlana Pankratova was born on 27 January, 1967 in Minsk. She graduated from the Belarusian State Academy of Arts as a theatre and film actress and from the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts with a degree in directing.
In 1990, she passed a Belteleradiocompany presenter casting and worked as an announcer. In 1991, Pankratova became an assistant director and then a director of the department for popular scientific and educational programmes; she took part in recording and hosting literature programmes and acted in television dramas and commercials. Since 1997, Svetlana Pankratova has been the host of Weather News.
She is married and has three children: daughter Alexandra and sons Evgeny and Pavel.
Pankratova attended special swimming classes so she swims regularly. Her hobbies are cycling and fitness. Her favourite way of family recreation is spending time in nature, usually in the Braslav district.
