President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has instructed to complete sowing work by May 9. This task was set by the head of state on April 30, as he was familiarizing with the progress of spring field work in Kostyukovichi district, BelTA informs.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food together with regional executive committees have determined the structure of sowing areas of agricultural plants for 2024. In accordance with it, spring sowing is planned to be carried out on the area of 2.4 million hectares, including 336.2 thousand hectares in Mogilev Region. The readiness of machinery in the country is provided and maintained at the level of 95%. Work is underway to prepare forage harvesting equipment for grass fodder preparation.
According to Minister of Agriculture and Food Sergei Bartosh, sowing of spring crops continues in Belarus. Over 1 million hectares have been sown, or 45% of the plan and 105% of the last year's level.
