China has sharply increased purchases of Russian oil. If in December there were 53 thousand barrels, in February already 168 thousand barrels per day. Such a sharp increase was provided mainly by private refiners, who were interested in a discount of about 50 cents per barrel.
Also, as Reuters reported earlier, India resumed oil purchases from Russia, planning to pay for it in UAE dirhams. After a two-month pause, the country receives about 119 thousand barrels per day. There is a growth in supplies of Russian agricultural products to India. At the end of last year they increased by 40%. New Delhi bought sunflower oil most of all: supplies grew by a third - up to $1 billion.
