Belarusian machine-builders are able to meet all the needs of the village in machinery. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at the meeting on rural development and improving the efficiency of the agricultural industry, BelTA reports.

"If any of the governors expects to cover their needs with imported machinery, I recommend to give up these fantasies. From the word "absolutely". We have recently discussed this in detail at a meeting on industry. And do not say that imported equipment is better than ours. Especially today," said Alexander Lukashenko.

The head of state noted that any machinery can fail, but the maintenance of domestic machines is provided at a very high level.

"Belarusian machine-builders are able to meet all your needs, especially in cooperation with the Russians. But it is time to modernize the country's machine and tractor fleet. Today, agrarians (and not only domestic ones) need machinery with high capacity, more powerful tractors, combines, feeders and so on," the President drew attention to it.

He instructed to update the program tasks and ensure the production of a full line of high-efficiency machines. At the same time, according to him, it is necessary to train mechanization personnel to work on these complicated machines.
