A solution on payments on Eurobonds has been found together with Russia. Now Belarus and Russia are working out a common mechanism for transferring money to investors. It was decided to work with the authorized depositories of the neighboring country. Minister of Finance of Belarus Yuri Seliverstov told that the mechanism of settlements on Eurobonds with investors from Russia bypassing the Western infrastructure will be launched in Belarus by the end of the year.
It should work by the end of the year, assured the head of the department. "It's unlikely that our Western partners will lift their sanctions, and everything will go back to normal. Therefore, we are building a long-term work through the central depository of the Russian Federation. They are also doing this work. As soon as all preparatory actions are completed, which were not necessary for us or them, mutual settlements will become more active. Details are being finalized, some things will be adjusted in the legislation, and the process will go on. The basic things have already been adopted, the technical things are left".
