The Palace of Independence often discusses the future and talks about what needs to be done for the future.
This time they talked about the work on strategic projects. For example, the nuclear power plant, BNBC, Svetlogorsk plant have become such projects in Belarus.
Alexander Lukashenko requires the government, scientists and governors to establish systematic work on important ideas that will benefit the economy and people, become a kind of growth drivers. Everything is not perfect here, but the system should work like clockwork. We need to develop and deepen what we are strong in, and not be afraid to realize new ideas.
"Strategic projects, if we talk about Belarus, are the future of our country. No person, no system, no state can exist without the future. So, strategic facilities should be engaged. For example, nuclear power plants, today we have created an entire industry. Do you remember how long I persuaded you that we should build a nuclear power plant?" - The President asked.
"We have built one plant, and our consumption of nuclear power to total electricity consumption is higher than in the United States and even in Russia. We are replacing somewhere around a quarter of the total by peaceful nuclear power. Today I am so carefully bringing you to the point that it would be good to have a second nuclear power plant in the country. It would be very profitable," emphasized Lukashenko.
