Prospects of partnership between Belarus and Romania discussed in Minsk

The two governments have expressed willingness to provide support for the development of trade relations and implementation of investment projects and agreed to intensify cooperation in trade and tourism.

Elena Kupchina, Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus: "Today we have identified promising areas on which we must focus our main efforts: this is industry, agriculture, transport, tourism, pharmaceuticals, science and technology, including high technology. I am pleased to see a growing number of Belarusian tourists in Romania."

Now Minsk and Bucharest are working on restoration of trade to the level of 2008. Then the volume of mutual trade reached $230 million.

The participants of the Belarusian-Romanian business forum also discussed joint projects on mining and processing of oil and gas, energy, metallurgical production, development of information technologies.
