Belarus takes part in Atomexpo-2024 International Forum in Sochi

This week Sochi hosted the International Forum "Atomexpo" - more than 4.5 thousand specialists of different spheres from 75 countries. Belarus, a nuclear power, is among them. The package of agreements is weighty - a comprehensive program has been signed, which will give a start to new projects.

Sergei Shlychkov, Chairman of the State Committee for Science and Technology of Belarus:

“The signing of the program completes a large list of activities that we have carried out to formalize our interaction, but it is open, in fact, like some areas of activity within the framework of the Union State. We have formed a program document with an open architecture. We can add projects to it, we can change something. We regulated, in fact, the procedure for forming project ideas, the procedure for their selection so that it would be of interest to both countries.”

According to Shlychkov, the direction on medicine is in the highest degree of readiness. "Medical equipment, primarily tomographs for various purposes. The state corporation has quite good competences in this sphere, and from our side it is treatment methods. At the same time, we have also agreed that we will think at least on the issue of personnel training. Next, we have good competencies in the field of electric vehicle construction. We have a comprehensive project for the future - national electric transportation.
