For Belarus, this year's World Day of Aviation and Astronautics is especially solemn. The flight of Belarusian Marina Vasilevskaya to the International Space Station allowed to reach a new level of participation of our country in space programs. And this is not an accidental success, but a natural result. More than 20 scientific and production organizations and over 4 thousand highly qualified employees working on the development of the space industry of Belarus are responsible for it. Space has really opened new horizons for science. Scientists of various fields are now studying the materials that were transferred from the ISS earlier this week.

Marina Vasilevskaya studied and personally visited the laboratories of the institutes of the National Academy of Sciences to get into the essence of the experiment and bring down to Earth the maximum result.

Samples from space: 16 strains and 12 types of microorganisms have been on the ISS.  It will be known soon how they were affected by the conditions of the flight and stay on the ISS, but in the meantime the whole complex has been deployed to determine the characteristics and compare them with the Belarusian dairy products.
