The appetites and activity of the collective West will only grow, the U.S. will continue to expand NATO. More than a thousand armored vehicles, as well as about 160 artillery systems and mortars, 235 planes and helicopters are already deployed to the western borders of Belarus and Russia.
There are up to 20 thousand NATO soldiers in Poland and the Baltics alone. In total, more than 60 and a half thousand U.S. military and more than 30 thousand NATO soldiers are permanently based in Western Europe.
At the end of January, the alliance launched the largest exercises in recent decades in the Baltic States, Poland and Germany. The maneuvers will involve about 90,000 troops, about 50 warships, 80 aircraft and more than a thousand units of ground vehicles.
