Minsk College of Electronics to be awarded School of Peace title

The presentation of the national project School of Peace took place in Minsk today. This is a joint program of the Belarusian Peace Foundation and the Ministry of Education. It is aimed at upbringing of children and youth on the principles of peace, friendship, mutual understanding and accord. Minsk College of Electronics was the first one to be officially awarded the title of a School of Peace (after the project was held in the test mode for several years). The schoolchildren presented their achievements, including new approaches to resource saving and electronic manuals for teaching students with special needs. Within the framework of this project it is planned that each region will have its own School of Peace.
