Pavel Utyupin: Belarus and Kazakhstan were, are and will be strategic partners

What will happen to Eurasia? The economy without barriers and impediments was the main topic of discussion this week in Kazakhstan. Nur-Sultan became a place of negotiations for the partners in the CIS and the Eurasian Economic Union, where meetings of economic councils were held.

A multi-format dialogue also took place on the bilateral agenda of Belarus and Kazakhstan. Last year, the trade turnover between our countries crossed the historical mark of one billion dollars with an increase of almost one third. Turbulence in the global market may contribute to the further deepening of our partnership. The focus is made on industrial cooperation.

Pavel Utyupin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Kazakhstan:

“Belarus and Kazakhstan were, are and will remain strategic partners. This is evidenced by the level of relations between the heads of our states. The level of contacts at the governmental level and the level of contacts in the business community that take place on a constant basis testify to this. The results of the contracts concluded today, in my opinion, also confirm the thesis that we are strategic partners. We signed contracts worth 10 million dollars, but today we have already reached 20 million, that there is a constant process going on.”

Pavel Utyupin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Kazakhstan:

“Our partners are actively opening a network of stores where only Belarusian products are sold: meat, dairy products. Last year they started supplying ice cream. In Nur-Sultan they moved very actively. Just two weeks ago, a similar store opened in Karaganda.”

The proposal made by the Kazakh side about the hub seemed very interesting. Kazakhstan is implementing the construction of logistics warehouses throughout Kazakhstan. This is a good opportunity for Belarus to logistically minimize costs, distribute products and use the supply to third countries through co-production.

The sky between Belarus and Kazakhstan remains open

Pavel Utyupin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Kazakhstan:

“The arrival of our delegation on June 8 was symbolic - it is the first day of the abolition of PCR tests. This greatly facilitates travel between Belarus and Kazakhstan. We have an agreement with the Kazakh side and the possibility of increasing the frequency of flights.”

There is also an agreement to hold a mixed commission on transport in a month. The topic is to increase the number and geography of flights.
