The West continues to hype on the topic of the Chernobyl tragedy. This was stated to journalists by Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Vladimir Pertsov. Today, on the International Day of Remembrance of the Chernobyl catastrophe, he took part in the ceremony of laying baskets with flowers at the memorial signs "To the Victims of Chernobyl" and "Hiroshima Peace Stone" in the Park of Friendship of Peoples in Minsk, BelTA informs.

According to Vladimir Pertsov, Belarus remembers and honors the feat of Chernobyl NPP liquidators. "And some people are still trying to hype on this topic and organize their political, inhuman, sarcastic, anti-state strategies. We watched it to a greater extent as some unhealthy dances of not quite mentally healthy people. And neither we nor the vast majority of the population of our planet can have any other opinion, - said Vladimir Pertsov. - Here we would like to feel some support from civilized countries in the elimination of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident, but we coped and are coping mostly on our own. Although, I should emphasize, this tragedy came to us from abroad. "

Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration stated that Belarus is still receiving reproaches from the Western countries, the EU states, first of all, the Republic of Lithuania to the address of the BelNPP.

"We would like to remind you that our nuclear power plant is built according to the most modern canons and safety standards."
