Traffic has partially resumed at the Lithuanian border crossing point "Miadininkae". However, the Lithuanian side formalizes only the transport, which goes to Belarus. It is still not allowed from our country to Lithuania.
There was a fire in "Miadininkai" tonight. The administrative building of the Lithuanian customs authorities was on fire. The fire was reported to the emergency services at 2 hours and 40 minutes. The fire was extinguished at 6:49.
Anton Bychkovski, official representative of the State Border Committee of Belarus:
“Tonight, April 18, the administrative building of the Lithuanian customs authorities caught fire at the Lithuanian border crossing point "Miadininkai" (from the Belarusian side "Kamenny Log"). Since 6:20, the Lithuanian side temporarily stopped the passage of persons and vehicles. We recommend to take into account this information and choose alternative routes.”
And as it became known, "Miadininkai" started to accept buses and trucks from Belarus.
