The tastiest and healthiest products from big brands and farmers can be found at Belarus' first organic market. It is located at the exit from Minsk in the direction of Logoisk. Today our President was there as well. The decision to build such a market was once initiated by Alexander Lukashenko. Given that the whole world is seriously thinking about a healthy way of life and healthy eating, the trend for natural food is very relevant. The ground floor of the multi-storey complex alone has 140 shops. Everything on the counters is labeled "organic". Dairy and meat products, fish, vegetables and fruit, phyto teas and bakery are available for purchase. There are also special sections presenting delicacies and goods from Belarusian gastro-enthusiasts. The main thing is that farmers should be the first to sell their products at this site without hindrances and red tape. And this is the principal demand of the President. While Alexander Lukashenko was visiting the organic market the trade center operated as usual. The customers watched how the head of the state chose vegetables and tasted the products.
There are signs saying that the products are sold without expert examination and documents confirming their quality and safety. But there is a laboratory here, where standards can be checked.
The President has questions. The first thing that should be done here is to give retail space to farmers with their organic products. There is still a lot of work to be done here. The President still makes some allowance for the fact that the facility is new and they still need time to expand and fill in the vacant space. They promise proper control. Other food markets in the country will also be checked.
