Solemn events timed to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders are held across the country.

In the village of Gai, Mogilev district, the memorial complex "Militia Battalion under the command of Konstantin Vladimirov" became the center of commemorative events. There, representatives of internal affairs bodies and internal troops, members of labor collectives, residents of Mogilev honored the memory of the fallen police officers during the Great Patriotic War.

Ivan Kubrakov, Minister of Internal Affairs of Belarus:

“We traditionally come here, near Mogilev, in the village of Gai, to honor the memory of our colleagues who defended the city of Mogilev back in 1941. 250 fighters stood to the death. Each of them understood perfectly well that the forces were unequal and most likely they would have to die, but they did not let the enemy to Mogilev. I am sure that if we remember the feat of our heroes, it will be impossible to break our republic.”

For the guests they prepared thematic locations, an exhibition of retro and working traffic police cars, a field kitchen. The final chord of the event was a creative concert with the participation of Belarusian pop stars.
