Nowhere in the world there are such open, honest, principled elections like in Belarus. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to journalists after voting in the elections, BelTA informs.

"Absolutely sincerely and honestly I will say: nowhere in the world there are such open, honest, principled elections like in Belarus. This is a holiday for us. It has always been so. And if in Soviet times they were somehow unnatural (I remember): everything was there - buffets, drinks and snacks, but it was somehow strained, without soul. We do it soulfully. That is why we have sincere, honest politics and exactly the same elections. We do not need neither wars nor clashes. We need a peaceful life. And in the name of this we will do everything," said the head of state.

He recalled the axiom that one does not hold power with trembling hands. "And no one will give power to anyone. But it must be based on the trust of the people in this power. I believe that in our country today the majority of people trust the authorities. Although they criticize them. This is normal," said Alexander Lukashenko.

The journalist of the Turkish media noted in his question to the head of state that people vote freely at polling stations, but Western countries still consider elections in such countries as Belarus, Turkey, Russia, Iran as undemocratic and use it as a weapon.

In this regard, the President emphasized that every country holds elections for its people, be it Turkey, Belarus, Russia or China. "And we will do what is favorable to our people. The elections will show. Any elections, including our "undemocratic" ones, will answer many questions," he remarked.

The head of state drew attention to the calm situation during the elections in Belarus. There are no clashes and rebellions or even attempts to do so. "We have not seen and will not see. Because we know how to draw conclusions from our mistakes. We see our mistakes and draw the appropriate conclusions," said the Belarusian leader.

As for the recognition of elections, for example, in Turkey, Alexander Lukashenko asked the journalist a rhetorical question: "Do you really need it?" "Well, they will recognize you. Well, if Turkey starts a war in the Middle East and goes after Israel (God forbid, of course, it will be a blessing for them. Limited conflicts around the world in different places is what they want. Then they will talk less about multipolarity, the unipolar world will remain, and the Americans, as it used to be, like a gendarme, rolling up their sleeves (their hands are covered with blood), will walk all over the planet. Only Turkish and Belarusian peoples and other nations do not need it. The West note want to solve the issues like in Ukraine, with other people's hands," said the Belarusian leader.

The head of state also drew attention to the example of the situation in which "democratic" Ukraine found itself: "What has Ukraine achieved? It is already so "democratic" that it couldn’t be more. And these mad people, especially Europeans (okay, Americans - it is clear what they want, but what are are these people thinking about?), say that Ukraine is a true democracy. Do you need such democracy as in Ukraine? We do not. Nobody needs war. This is what their democracy has led to. They have long forgotten what democracy and freedom are. So we need to calm down and do our job. Do it in the interests of our own people."
