Belarus considers any encroachment on diplomatic facilities, the inviolability of which is guaranteed by the Vienna Conventions, to be absolutely inadmissible. This view was expressed in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, commenting on the incident with the Iranian consulate in Syria. BELTA writes about it.
As BELTA previously reported, the building of the Iranian consulate in the capital of Syria was hit by a missile attack on April 1. The attack killed 11 people, including two generals and five military advisers of the Iranian Armed Forces.
"This precedent is not only a clear violation of international law, but also undermines the basis and spirit of modern international relations, regional and international security," emphasized the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
