A new level of regional ties: Minsk and Sochi have become sister cities. The agreement on the establishment of friendly relations was signed today at a meeting of the working group on cooperation between Belarus and Krasnodar Krai.
In addition, the leadership of the Belarusian capital and the delegation from the Russian resort city met in the mayor's office. There are a lot of issues: from economy and entrepreneurship to tourism and social sphere. Special emphasis is placed on the education of young people. In particular, the leadership of Sochi showed interest in our patriotic clubs. Another vector of dialog was the work of the housing and communal complex. Minsk shared its experience in the construction of a garbage sorting plant and the project to switch to artesian water. The program also includes visits to specialized enterprises.
The cooperation is mutually beneficial: the trade turnover between Minsk and Krasnodar Krai is growing. Only for 7 months of this year they exceeded the mark of $95 million. Sochi has become the 34th sister city of the Belarusian capital.
