Belarus will bring to justice the Nazis involved in the atrocities. Regardless of the identity and statute of limitations. This was announced today by Alexander Lukashenko at a solemn meeting on the occasion of Victory Day.

Traditionally, this event is held on the eve of May 9. For us, this date carries the understanding of the essence and truth of life, warns us against mistakes and helps us build the future through generations. It is not by chance that the preservation of historical memory and the heroic feat of the Belarusian people are enshrined in the updated Constitution. Everyone should know about the high price our people paid for peace and freedom.

President: With the collapse of the USSR the lessons of the war were forgotten

It was thanks to the political, economic and military power of the Soviet Union that peace was secured on the continent for decades. And the people of Europe should have realized this long ago. Today, however, we are witnessing the opposite picture.

An objective reaction to threats from the West

The situation only continues to escalate. The expansion of military blocs and NATO troops on our western borders is a reality. Belarus is a peaceful country, but it is vital to respond to such threats. Together with our allies. The armed forces of Belarus and Russia are practicing the use of non-strategic nuclear weapons. The test is exclusively defensive in nature, the President emphasized. He also shared an objective assessment of the situation.
