President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated his compatriots on Victory Day, BelTA reports citing the press service of the Belarusian leader.

"This sacred holiday resonates in our hearts with great joy and immense gratitude to the Soviet people, who crushed fascism and saved the future of mankind at the cost of millions of lives," the message of greetings reads. In every corner, in every family of Belarus, the war born of hatred and ideas of world domination has left non-healing wounds from the heinous crimes of Hitler's executioners and their henchmen," the message of greetings reads.

The heroic fight against the enemy and selfless labor in the rear became a manifestation of nationwide resistance and readiness of Belarusians to sacrifice, stressed the head of state.
