European authorities are trying in every possible way to erase the truth about the feat of Soviet heroes. Even the Victory Day over fascism in Western Europe and the United States is celebrated on May 8, not May 9. But today Lithuanian residents brought many flowers to the demolished memorial in Antakalnis cemetery. It is shameful for the authorities, who erase our memory from the face of the earth, ordinary Lithuanians say.
In Moldova, ordinary people also oppose the authorities and fight for the truth. Today, the participants of the Victory rally from Transnistria and Chisinau are uniting. Three columns traveled through Tiraspol and headed to the Chiscani bridgehead. There, columns from other Transnistrian districts and participants from Chisinau are waiting for them.
Meanwhile, hundreds of residents of the Moldovan capital came to the memorial complex "Eternity" to honor the memory of the fallen in the Great Patriotic War.
