Who is mounting tensions near the Belarusian borders and what are the current protection guidelines? - Find out in the "Disposition" project

9 октября 2022
The meeting on military security clearly defined the country's defense policy. The path will have to be paved in an atmosphere of total militarization of the western and southern neighbors. In other words, many minefields have to be overcome on the way to the peace.

You can find out who is mounting tensions and how we see protection guidelines in the "Disposition" project.

"Disposition" is on the air. This is Gagarin. Let's go. Of course, we should start with a sensation. Now we can easily call a spade a spade. So, no matter what anyone says, a real stir is going on near Belarusian military enlistment offices. Our guys are going to military enlistment offices, as they have to. And no one can hide it. And we won't allow it.

It sounds powerful, doesn't it? This is where analysts and experts will get excited: the state media are reporting such news! Interestingly, there's not a drop of lies in the message. But this is just an ordinary conscription. So citizens, this is a false alarm. Just like with  the mobilization.  Everything proceeds according to the plan.

Maxim Zhuravlev, Head of the Conscription Department of the Military Commissariat of the Minsk Region:

In July, the President of the Republic of Belarus issued a decree, and since August, measures to recruit citizens have begun in all districts of the Minsk Region. Currently, in all districts of the Minsk Region, a set of necessary measures is being taken to conscribe citizens, hold a medical examination, and the identification of citizens who are entitled to deferment or exemption from the draft. The guys are in a positive mood. As always, we have people who want to serve in certain military units and certain positions, so we take all this into account and always meet the conscripts halfway.

In general, we still underestimate analysts. And sometimes they find strange meanings brilliantly. They find them even where everything seems to be clear.

The President held a meeting on security.

The President held a security meeting this week. He clearly voiced the country's place and course in a nervous geopolitical situation. But won't there be specialists to insert their idea? In general, the topic of the meeting seemed sweet, and interpreters immediately flew in from all over the world.  They refer to quotations, mixed them up, made a sensation out of two or three phrases taken out of context and... in general, thank you for not accusing Minsk of unleashing  the World War III. Of course, the politicians also showed up. And here are some interesting trends.

Mariusz Blaszczak, Polish Minister of Defense:

The Belarusian leadership stands hand in hand with Russia and supports aggression against Ukraine.

It's sophisticated, isn’t it? In one bottle, so to speak. By the way, we really support the Russian leadership, but as for aggression, the pan turned everything  upside down. The West itself provoked the conflict. And now, for some reason, it is approaching the Belarusian border at a rapid pace along the track laid out before the special operation. And it doesn’t act in a sophisticated way at all.

Alexander Lukashenko, President of Belarus:

Poland is the most active one. A new mechanized division is being formed in the south of the Belarusian direction, and Polish territorial defense personnel brigades are being created in the north and east of the country. Instead of supporting its population in a difficult socio-economic situation, the Polish government plans to increase its military budget.

Warsaw caught hype this week and, as it happened, after Alexander Lukashenko's speech. Allegedly it was done in response to the growing threat from the East, the Polish President announced plans to gain access to the U.S. nuclear weapons exchange program.

Andrzej Duda, President of Poland:

There is always a potential opportunity to participate in a nuclear exchange. We talked to American leaders about whether the US is considering this possibility. The theme is open.

Let us remind you that the nuclear discussion in the region (it is easy to check) did not start at the instigation of Moscow or Minsk. And again, it started not from a special operation. Stoltenberg launched all these lexical exercises of the West when he announced back in November 2021 the alternative of moving nuclear weapons from Germany to Poland. However, Warsaw hopes for a short memory of its neighbors and is now pretending to be almost a victim. And, of course, it is forced to arm itself, which it is doing in a crazy way. It receives several planes with military cargo a day. And here Kiev also has to help.  The Baltic competitors are pushing as well. Look, they'll tear off a big piece from the United States.

Alexander Lukashenko, President of Belarus:

The intensity of reconnaissance flights near our borders is not getting down. Operational and combat training is actively carried out, including the use of the Pabrade training range in Lithuania, which is only 15 kilometers off the state border of Belarus. At the same time, under the guise of supporting Kiev, a number of European countries are implementing their plans to rearm with modern weapons and equipment and strengthen their armies.

Incidentally, what can really be noted from a closer look at the meeting on military security is a new aspect in outlining the dangers and risks for the republic. Risks now tend to have specific names in the form of names of countries, weapons, intentions.

What does this mean? Nothing extraordinary. Simply, for the external circuit, the state declares that it sees all unfriendly actions, and for the internal circuit, it explains how we will mitigate the challenges. And if the President mentions Lithuania's desire to purchase Hymars complexes, there is no doubt that the Belarusian army will have an answer. The same, presumably, applies to all types of weapons and hostile aspirations. The military has a clearly configured "friend or foe" system, and the opponent's strengths are known. This means that our troops know how to sharpen the teeth that we use to hold on to peace.
