The unspoken law of any international summit says: there should be a maximum of handshakes, because it is a rare opportunity to immediately discuss the pressing issues with colleagues without formalities. This is how it was with Vucic - Serbia's policy towards us is unchanged.

Aleksandar Vucic, President of Serbia:

“We talked about our bilateral relations. I very much hope that next year we will be able to organize a visit of the President of Belarus to our country.”

It is always a pleasure to see familiar faces in a big company. After the warm meeting, Alexander Lukashenko will have time to have a one-on-one talk with Ilham Aliyev. There is always something to discuss with the leaders of Cuba and Equatorial Guinea. Strengthening of the economic sphere with the former, the forthcoming visit and plans with the latter. We have yet to determine the areas of work with Kenya, for example. If the heads of states like Togo or Botswana are new faces for us, Mr. Mnangava, who is expected in Minsk for a visit, is already familiar to us.

Negotiations were also held with the Prime Minister of Mongolia. At a meeting with the President of Comoros Azali Assoumani, who now chairs the African Union, they agreed on cooperation as well.

You know (I have sent you a letter to this effect): we are extremely interested in cooperation with the African Union," Alexander Lukashenko said. The President noted that Belarus has long been cooperating with the countries of North Africa, for example, with Egypt. Relations with the southern states are developing. "We would be very happy if you would facilitate such a movement of high-tech Belarus to the African continent," the President said.

Belarus is determined to make serious progress on the African continent - it offers cooperation and equal partnership without colonial overtones. This negotiation marathon is a good foundation for the future.

Alexander Lukashenko also met with the presidents of Mozambique, Rwanda and Botswana on the margins of the summit. "During these meetings, the key areas of concern for African countries today were discussed. These are agricultural technologies, education, health care, technological development, information technologies. And we discussed not only the prospects for the development of new information technologies, but, as the President put it, we should not forget about the old technologies that we have and that Africa urgently needs today. The head of state held a number of meetings with the leaders of our Eurasian region, with the presidents of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. And a very wide range of meetings were held with the leaders of African countries," he said.
