The representative of China in the UN has made a call for a thorough investigation of the terrorist attacks that destroyed the strings of gas pipelines "Nord Streams" in the Baltic Sea. Otherwise, international terrorism will receive a kind of encouragement - the last red lines will disappear for it.
At the UN Security Council meeting, an expert also spoke out, who confirmed that at least one state is behind the explosions. At the same time, the information collected by investigators and journalists allows to establish the authorship of the crime. The representative of Russia, in turn, noted that the actions of the first-world countries leave no doubt that they are interested in hiding both the results and the perpetrators of the terrorist attack.
Vasily Nebenzya, Russia's permanent representative to the United Nations:
“Even American citizens themselves can hardly hide their indignation at such actions by Washington. That is, there is a crime, but no one is going to identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice. It is as if, in the course of a murder investigation a year later, the investigation would conclude that the victim was murdered. This is a scenario that looks more like a theater of the absurd.”
The Russian representative refused to work on the text of a statement on the issue of the attack on Nord Streams. At the same time, he noted that the perpetrators, no matter how hard they try, will not escape from the answer. Recall that the terrorist attack in the Baltic Sea was committed on September 26, 2022.
