They left their homes and went in search of a better life - what awaits every destitute on the European border

29 октября 2023

Pain and suffering. Something that hundreds of thousands of people around the world have to deal with every day. Regional conflicts and Western intervention have led to new displacements. Characteristically, all these people forced to leave their countries do not go into the blue. They have responded to calls from European leaders. They are literally waved at from the high stands. Except the invitation is in the best tradition of Western hypocrisy not extended to them.

Politicians trivialize their audience by shaping the image of heartthrobs and human lovers. And they don't give a toss what happens to those who respond to the call. The truth is, political technology on human lives seems to be completely out of control. The influx of refugees risks completely changing the usual pattern of traditional processes in Europe. Details in the “Screenshot” feature.

People die for citizenship. Deprived of their own nation-states, they have been forced to abandon what remains of their homes, which have not survived the pressures of export democracy, and go in search of a better life for themselves and their children. Driven by need and despair, they rushed to where they were greeted with a wave. First Merkel declared “We can do it” and invited them to Germany, then her successor herr Scholz solemnly declared that Germany is a country of migrants.

Olaf Scholz, German Chancellor:
Dear ladies and gentlemen. Germany is a country of migrants. So now is the time for us to recognize ourselves as a society of immigration and integration. This includes the fact that we must facilitate the process of obtaining German citizenship. Only thus can we achieve full political participation and better integration. Citizenship will be possible after 5 years of residence in Germany. We will also allow multiple citizenship. This corresponds to the life reality of many people living in our country.

Being, rather than appearing, a democrat and a heartbroken human being is far more difficult than reciting it from high podiums. A cold reception is what awaits every disadvantaged person on the European border. People say: You wouldn't turn a cat out on a night like this, would you? Eurohearts find it acceptable to do this to people.

Alexander Lukashenko, President of Belarus: You called them. Remember Merkel? Let them go. But killing people, throwing half the bodies back, and burying half of them. Let these Western sufferers search, let them search, let them find the graves where they buried these poor people. If you look at our migration process, it's only child's play to what is on the way  across the Mediterranean. And now there's this mess. There will be more of these migrants. So soon they will forget about Belarus.
People of different colors and religions in Europe are once again subject to oppression and intolerance. According to a social polls published by the Guardian, racism is becoming increasingly common. The study found that 45% of respondents had experienced racial discrimination. This represents a 39% increase over 2016. It is not uncommon for a situation to end in the traditional American scenario. First shoot to kill, then find out.

Olaf Scholz, German Chancellor:
In any case, we have now increased security at the borders with Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic and Poland to ensure that we can prevent people from simply passing through. Many refugees cross the Balkans or the Mediterranean through many countries in Europe and apply for asylum in Germany. This cannot be a reasonable system. That is why we must reach agreement with others on how to do so. It seems to be happening in Europe now. But we must also do our part, for example by securing the border sufficiently.

Refugees have become a significant force within the European Union. They may be in the minority, but they are already having a serious impact on the domestic political processes of different countries. Many of those currently dying on European borders are relatives of first-wave refugees. Sooner or later, a critical mass of grief will overwhelm the European capitals. In particular, the anti-migrant legislation is trying to capture this approaching problem.

Nancy Faeser, German Minister of the Interior:
An important issue for curbing irregular migration is to combat cruel, ruthless and unscrupulous smuggling as much as possible. And the today's decision moves us forward. In the future, it will be easier for us to expel smugglers. In addition, we will ensure that child smuggling is also punished in the future.  So far, we have had a very high influx of illegal migration this year, and that is why we must act as a State.

What is happening in the wild west today correlates too much with the values being broadcast. Trying to deal with the consequences without regard to the causes only exacerbates the situation. One way or another, the prefix of savagery against the West will become more frequent. Andrei Sych about heartthrobs and humanists in the section "Screenshot".
