CIS leaders discuss how to strengthen common efforts in politics and economy in today's environment

The Bishkek summit of the CIS leaders became an opportunity to discuss the most pressing issues that currently concern the world and the Commonwealth. At the meeting with his colleagues, the Belarusian President refused from the artificial formulas, and simply and clearly said what everyone is thinking about. But sometimes they do not dare to say it out loud.

There are enough contradictions in the CIS, plus the whole geopolitical situation. Alexander Lukashenko urged his counterparts not to hide their heads in the sand, but to deal with controversial issues and overcome differences together. The time has come for serious consolidation of the countries of the organization. The current challenges, of course, have shaken up the Commonwealth, but the situation is changing rapidly today - we see what is happening in the Middle East.

Common efforts in such an environment in politics and economy will definitely benefit the CIS countries.

The leaders discussed everything that is going on today publicly and in moments of informal communication. Every time the CIS heads of state meet there is a feeling of a slight "nostalgia" for the big country. After all, they have lived in one state for 70 years. Lukashenko called the collapse of the USSR a tragedy. The decision to create the CIS was correct. In a critical situation, the former Soviet republics took refuge there from chaos and economic collapse.
